So, let’s imagine that two people were going to drive the full length of I-55 from Chicago to New Orleans. One will start from Chicago and the other will start from New Orleans. While they are both traveling the same road and will see the same sites along the way, the order in which they experience them will be different. This will also effect their perceptions and not allow them to agree on many things.
The one coming from New Orleans will follow the Mississippi river and cross it a number of times before reaching the mid-point of St. Louis. The one coming from Chicago will not see any water before reaching the mid-point of St. Louis. Each will say to the other, “Which I-55 were you driving on? What you are describing is not my experience of the spiritual road. You must be a heretic!”
This is the cause of every war fought in the name of God.
It is not until they realize that they are driving the same road from two different directions that they see the accuracy and the viewpoint of the other.
The same is true of the Divine Ways. They both follow the route of the chakras, but they start from different ends. The anima-based personality begins at the crown chakra, while the animus-based personality begins at the base chakra.
When the white rose or white lotus is spoken of, it can mean either the beginning point of the spiritual journey or the culmination of enlightenment. So, it is very important to know from which direction the speaker is traveling in order to understand the meaning of the symbols they are using.
Only those who have traveled the complete route in both directions and thus returned to the starting point of their journey are fully enlightened or have reached full attainment. They are the only ones who can claim to be both the Alpha and the Omega.
Everyone else is just halfway home.
Brilliant perspective. Thank you.
